‘inapōtea

‘inapōtea, n. Time of bright moonlight, when the moon is near full.

Mei tēta‘i ‘inapōtea kia tēta‘i tō mātou kimi‘anga i te ‘enua ko Rarotonga.
We were searching for Rarotonga from one full moon to the next;

‘Ā‘āere mārie, e aku pōtiki, kia kite kōrua i ngā ‘inapōtea.
Take things gently, my dears, and (live to) see (beautiful things like) the bright moonlight nights (proverb).
[‘ina1, 1, tea.]
