maromaroā

maromaroā, v.i. Downcast, depressed, apathetic, bored, boring.

Kua maromaroā te māpū i te ‘akakore‘ia‘anga te ‘ura e te taote.
The young folk were depressed when the medical officer banned the dance;

‘E ‘ākara‘anga maromaroā tō‘ou i tēia pōpongi.
You are looking miserable this morning;

‘E maromaroā au i te no‘o ki te kāinga.
I‘m fed up with staying at home;

‘Auraka kōtou e ‘aere maromaroā ki roto i te ngā‘i tu‘epōro‘anga.
