rūrū1, (-a, -‘ia).

1. To shake, scatter, sow (seeds), sift.

E rūrū i te vairākau.
Shake the medicine;

Kua kake ‘aia ki runga i te tumu ē kua rūrū i te i‘i ki raro.
He climbed up the trunk and shook the chestnuts down;
