Kua ma‘iti mai te pōpani o te mō‘ina i tōku rūrū‘anga i te tai.
The cork popped out of the bottle as I was shaking the sauce;
Kua ‘akamata ‘aia i te pūtaka‘iti kia ma‘iti ki va‘o.
He began to try to wriggle free;
