tā‘uka

tā‘uka, (-‘ia). Lather, raise a froth or foam on something.

Kua tā‘uka ‘aia i te kāka‘u ki te pu‘a ‘ē kua vao‘o ki roto i te pā kia a‘ia‘i pu‘āi.
He lathered the clothes with soap and left them in the tub to be washed in the evening;

Kua tā‘uka‘ia te punāvai e te tamaiti kanga ki te pu‘a.
The mischievous boy put soap in the well and made it frothy.
